Royal Parks playground for children up to 12, recently improved. It has a giant scramble net, a musical floor, swings, climbing nets and a new roundabout, around a central beach area with a wheelchair-accessible water play feature, a large sandpit with a raised table so children of all abilities can play together, logs, boulders and a wobbly bridge. The works are finished but the council says it will reopen soon, so check before you go.
Closes 4pm Nov–Jan, 5pm Feb, 6pm Mar (7pm once clocks go forward), 7.30pm Apr–Aug, 7pm Sep, 6pm Oct (5pm once clocks go back). Closed 25 December.
